Progressive Adi follows up
Championship leader Johnny Murtagh notched up his 30th winner of the season when sporting his retained colours of the Aga Khan to an ultimately comfortable success aboard Adiynara in the nine furlongs conditions race.
The Michael Halford-trained filly belied a major lack of market confidence easing out to 5/1 as all the support came for Spin Of A Coin (9/4 this morning, backed in to 5/4 favourite).
Murtagh sent the daughter of Halling to the front over a furlong out, and she was well on top in the closing stages to beat Noble Call (4/1) by two and a half lengths.
Spin Of A Coin was unable to quicken on the good to yielding ground finishing another length and a quarter back in third.
Halford said, “Johnny wanted to get into a nice position early on today, and she appreciated an ease in the ground and stayed well. She's gone forward from her Ballinrobe win, and is getting better with racing. The conditions of today's race suited her well.”
