Power makes welcome return to winner's enclosure
Eddie Power rode his first winner since cracking two vertabrae in his neck at Tipperary in April when scoring aboard Away We Go for Timmy Cleary in the Whitford House Hotel Chase at Wexford.
The winner took advantage of a mistake by the even money favourite Fosters Cross four fences from home and stayed on well in the home straight to win comfortably by eight lengths.
Cleary said afterwards: "Going into this race I thought Fosters Cross would win and that we were just tilting at windmills, but Eddie (Power) took his opportunity well and made it look easier than it was."
"We will head to Killarney next for the Graded Handicap Chase over 2 1/2 miles."
