Robbie Power continued his fine start to the season when successful aboard Jo Go in the Best Odds Guaranteed At 188BET Handicap Hurdle at Roscommon.
Power was recording his third winner at this two-day meeting having ridden a double yesterday evening, and is now on the 11 winner mark for the campaign.
The Cathy O’Leary-trained mare struck the front on touching down at the last, and was driven out to beat The Informer by three and a half lengths. Clontarf was a half-length back in third, with long-time leader Princess Lir another length adrift in fourth.
Jo Go recorded her only previous hurdle win also over three miles at Clonmel last year.
Power said, “Cathy said she would handle the ground well. She has been waiting for a bit of rain to run her, and had her spot on. She saw it out really well. I knew when she met the rising ground she would stay on well.”
