Politeo justifies support at Down Royal
Politeo ran out a very easy winner of the Daily Mirror Handicap Chase at Down Royal in the hands of Michael Doran.
The Gigginstown House Stud owned five year old was backed from 4/1 into 2/1 favourite and quickly asserted when sent about his business shortly after the turn into the home straight.
James Nolan representing his brother Paul said: "The light weight helped and he jumped great. He is better on that ground and the stiff fences suited him. He will be kept on the go for the summer and I wouldn't rule out a quick reappearance at Puchestown this week. He is entered in several races later in the week."
This was Michael Doran's 13th winner of the season.
