Westerner Point is poised to take his chance in the Randox Health Becher Chase at Aintree on December 9.
Well beaten in a Galway hurdle on his seasonal bow, Eoghan O'Grady's charge was a winner over three miles last term.
O'Grady said: "All being well, Westerner Point will head over to Aintree in December for the Becher Chase.
"He has been fine since Galway. That was his first run for a good while and he should strip a lot fitter the next day.
"We want to go for the Becher because he is a very good jumper and I think the track at Aintree will suit him. We think he likes a level track, as you saw when he won at Cork.
"He stayed the three miles well at Cork."
The Gordon Elliott pair of Ucello Conti and Mala Beach are also Becher possibles, and Jimmy Moffatt's 2015 winner Highland Lodge is among the 60 entries as well.
Vieux Lion Rouge, successful last year, is in the mix again along with Grand National fourth Blaklion, who claimed a fine second in the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby on his seasonal return.
Gas Line Boy, Lord Windermere, Regal Encore, Good To Know and The Last Samuri all completed the Grand National in April and are entered again here.
Paul Nicholls could run dual Scottish National winner Vicente and Badger Ales hero Present Man.
