It is day two of Longines Irish Champions Weekend and today's action takes place at the Curragh where the going is Yielding, Yielding to Soft in places on the straight course while the round course is Good to Yielding, Yielding in places.
The track expects to get 15-20mm of rain through the morning into the afternoon.
The first of eight races gets under way at 1.15pm. There are four Group One contests on the card including the featured Comer Group International Irish St Leger (4.10pm). Aidan O'Brien's Kyprios is odds-on favourite to bring up his five-timer in this race.
O'Brien holds a strong hand in the Group 1 Goffs Vincent O'Brien National Stakes at 3.35pm. He supplies the unbeaten Aesop's Fables who is favourite for this €400,000 race over seven furlongs and he also has Hans Andersen who chased home his stablemate in a Group 2 over course and distance last month.
There are a couple of early non runners to report. Sydneyarms Chelsea is out of the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at 3pm while Belloccio has been ruled out of the concluding Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Northfields' Handicap (5.20pm).
