Pinot Gris made it back-to-back wins when adding to his Down Royal success with an even easier victory in the concluding Mongey Communications Handicap at Leopardstown.
The Gavin Cromwell trained grey was held up in mid division by Gary Carroll before moving closer entering the home straight.
From there, the three-year-old got a dream passage up the running rail, staying on strongly to head Grey Fable over a furlong out before going right away from his opposition.
Veteran One Cool Poet stayed on from the chasing group to take second close home, with the aforementioned Grey Fable in third.
“I thought going around the bend he was in a little bit of bother but when he got a bit of daylight, and he got a crack into him, he quickened away well,” said Cromwell.
“I've always liked him, he's still a raw green horse and he's going to keep improving. I'm not sure where we'll go with him next, the soft ground wasn't a problem to him there.
“He's a very simple, straightforward horse and hopefully he'll keep on the upward curve. Mentally he still hasn't come yet, he's very babyish.”
