The Joanna Morgan trained Sky Pilot landed the concluding BWG Food Handicap at Dundalk tonight, scoring under Pat Smullen.
The son of Dilshaan stayed on well inside the final furlong to hold the challenge of 33/1 outsider Brecan Boy close home.
Afterwards Morgan said “I have to thank Louise Parkhill who has done all sorts of physio on Sky Pilot.
“They talk a lot about 'the bounce factor' in England but this fellow hadn't run for about 250 days until he ran over hurdles at Downpatrick on Wednesday and then came out and won here! “He is tough and and he jumps a fence well so we'll probably go that route in time. I'm delighted to get a win here and he may come back here again next week.”
