Photo Opportunity justified favouritism when taking the opening Ted Moynihan Memorial Maiden for trainer Dermot Weld.

Pat Smullen had the 9/4 favourite in front from over two furlongs out and the pair kept on well close home to hold off Swing Pattern by half a length.

Winning trainer Weld said afterwards: “I was out on the track before racing and the track is in beautiful condition and it’s a credit to them.”

“This horse has taken awhile, he’s a half brother to Famous Name and he’s had his problems on the way.”

“We have no definite plans for him.”
