Pencil Hill recorded his first win in three years when claiming the K&M Timber Handicap for local trainer Tracey Collins.
Pat Shanahan who was on board the son of Acclamation came with a well timed to run to lead inside the final furlong for a half length success over Bold Thady Quill
Winning trainer Collins said afterwards: “To say he’s been frustrating is an under statement but maybe now he’s got his head in front it’ll give him a bit of confidence.”
“Pat [Shanahan] gave him a great ride.”
