Peak Raider a popular winner of the last
Peak Raider has hit the form of his life and after a very easy success at Gowran the six-year-old son of Machiavellian followed-up from a pound out of the handicap in the Caffrey's Bar & Restaurant Of Batterstown Handicap Chase at Fairyhouse. This was a great local success as Peak Raider is trained by Tommy Carberry and he was ridden by his daughter Nina.
The bottom-weight travelled great, he was produced down the outer between the last two and once sent about his business from the back of the last he went on to beat Lastoftheleaders by a length and three parts.
Tommy Carberry said: "He settled and jumped very well and jumping is his forte. He is stronger now and he didn't have too hard a race there so we'll probably go to Leopardstown now."
