Patrickswell strikes for Callaghan

Patrickswell has proved a good servant for Marcus Callaghan and recorded his fifth career victory when claiming the Rainbow Telecom Handicap at Down Royal.

Leigh Roche was recording his third success on the gelding as he delivered him with a challenge at the furlong pole.

He wore down Liberty Island in the closing stages to record a length success.

"He takes his racing well. There was nothing about for him that's why he ran today. We'll see how he is after this before making plans," said Callaghan.
