Discovery Bay and Nina Carberry winning from Paramount

The Charlie Swan trained Discovery Bay was rewarded for some consistent efforts at Dundalk recently with a win at the venue in the XL (QR) Handicap tonight.
Ridden by Nian Carberry the gelding, formerly owned by the Queen, was patiently ridden before being produced to lead inside the final furlong, eventually staying on well to comfortably beat Johnnys Legacy
Afterwards Swan said “Discovery Bay deserved that . He has plenty of gears and it's nice that he gets the trip (two miles). Nina was brilliant on him, as he likes to be dropped-in and he can be a bit keen. He'll jump hurdles when the ground dries up a bit.”
