Pa King rode his 11th winner of the season, from just 45 rides, when 25/1 chance Mr Fred Rogers took the Nenagh (C & G) Point-To-Point INH Flat Race (Div I).
Plenty held chances two furlongs out but widest on the track the Sholokov 5-year-old came with a steady run to lead approaching the final furlong.
King kept his mount up to his work to score by a length and three quarters. Second home was the 9/4 joint favourite Gortmillish with Contemplatemyfaith (6/1) a further head away in third.
Winning trainer Willie Murphy, based in Rathoe Co. Carlow, said: “It was a grand performance. He was ready for point to points and then the lockdown came so we had no option but to come this way.
"He'll improve plenty for it and he is brilliant to jump and is out of a Bob Back mare.
"He is owned by a crowd of my neighbours and I'll see what happens but I presume he is for sale."
