Oxx doubles up with Dawn
John Oxx completed a double at Roscommon in the concluding Tote Jackpot Races 3 To 6 Maiden when Dawn To Dance made it fourth time lucky in the six runner mile and a quarter maiden.
Fran Berry (got a 1-day ban for careless riding) lost his whip about a furlong out and he then drifted in on top of Bold Identity However there was never any chance of Dawn To Dance losing the race in the steward's room and Lady Clague's well-bred filly was confirmed the three length winner after an enquiry.
'Slim' O'Neill representing Oxx, earlier successful in the Listed Lenebane Stakes with Karasiyra said: "We weren't sure if she'd stay as she is a half-sister to Namid. It was a good performance there though from a nice filly and being by Selkirk she should get further."
