Oxx and Kinane take opener at The Curragh
There was somewhat of a surprise in the opener at the Curragh this afternoon as the John Oxx trained newcomer Beauty O'Gwaun (12/1) denied the well fancied The Bull Hayes to give the master of Curraghbeg an appropriate success in the TRI Equestrian Sinndar EBF Maiden.
The Michael Kinane ridden daughter of Rainbow Quest took over at the head of affairs inside the last 150 yards and went on to score by three-lengths.
"She is a nice filly and she did that very well, "I think she will go on faster ground and she'll get a trip next year and could be smart. There is a listed race in a couple of weeks but it is unlikely we will run her again this season" said Oxx.
