Osirixamix looks exciting prospect
Osirixamix made a big impression on his chase debut at Limerick when running out a stylish winner under Robbie Power.
Tony Martin's charge, an impressive winner over hurdles at Cork in December, transferred that to the bigger obstacles.
The son of Desert Prince, who won off a moderate enough rating of 102 over timber, looks like he could be much better over fences judged on this effort.
He was always prominent as a trio also including Big Secret and Koshere King cut out the running.
Power sent his mount to the front two out and the result never looked in doubt as he cruised home for an eight length victory. Healys Bar came from off the pace to take the runner-up spot while 6/4 favourite Big Secret could only manage third.
"He schooled over fences at Leopardstown and was unreal," said Martin afterwards.
"Jumping is his strong point. He'll go for a winners of one and could go to any of the good tracks as he jumps so well.
"He's owned by two lads from Dublin, Timothy Fitzgerald and Niall Gormley, and that keeps everyone happy."
