Oscar edges thriller in handicap chase
My Lord Oscar came out on top in a thrilling finish for the handicap chase at Thurles.
Enda Bolger 's charge travelled well into the straight, for Robbie Power, but had to find plenty on the run-in to beat off the challenge of Major Decision by the narrowest of margins. Pagan Magic was just half a length behind in third while Harbour View was another neck back in fourth.
"Listowel was his day and from there we're just potholing," said Bolger.
"If the ground gets heavy we might put him away - I'll see what the weather does.
"He has been known to jump a cross country fence so there might be something else for him down the road."
