We saw a smart performance on debut from Operatic Export (14/1) in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden (Plus 10 Race) at Leopardstown.
Many would have thought that favourite Fire Fly was home from over a furlong out, but they weren't bargaining for the change of gear produced from Jim Bolger's Operatic Export.
At the line a length and three parts separated the Kevin Manning-ridden Operatic Export from Fire Fly.
"We knew she was a nice filly but thought she might be a bit greener than she was," said Bolger.
"She has real prospects, thankfully, and we'll have to have a look at the Debutante now."
