He since ran a nice race at Down Royal finishing just over five lengths fourth to Soldier Bay Seancill Oir at 12/1 finished second with the second reserve Sean Airgead just a neck behind in third at 7/1. Riotman put in a career best performance to complete the placings a further seven lengths back in fourth at 12/1.
Winning trainer Gillian Callaghan's husband Barry, who is an ex-Meath footballer said afterwards: "He improved from his last run, his handicap debut and jumped better. He will go for something similar now and may step up in class a bit."
