Beaten a head over the course and distance five weeks back, Juliet Rose won on her third outing in the View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium Maiden today.
Declan McDonogh just lost out on this Camelot filly over the extended mile and a quarter last time, and he again took the reins on the Joseph O’Brien-trained three-year-old here.
O’Brien’s Presgrave came in for a bit of market support and he performed satisfactorily to finish third.
Up front though Juliet Rose was always on the pace. She was pushed along to lead inside the final furlong, going on for a comfortable length and a half win from Dutch Admiral
“It was nice progression from her last run. She was unlucky the last day to just meet one on the day, probably not a bad horse,” said McDonogh.
“Today was lovely, I had a grand tow along and she learned a good bit from the last day. Really it was never in doubt and she won nicely.
“I'd say she's only doing what she has to, which is not a bad thing going forward. I'm sure she'll be a nice filly on the grass too.”
