Alan Magee
On My Own pleases the bookies
On My Own caused a 16/1 shock when readily opening his account in the two and a quarter miles Munster Handicap Hurdle for trainer Philip Fenton and rider Brian O'Connell.
The quite lightly-raced seven-year-old travelled supremely well for O'Connell, who produced his mount to head Would You Do That (9/2) at the final flight for a two length victory. Dr Proctor (8/1) was third, while Twin Plan (12/1) could find no extra approaching the last to complete the placings in fourth.
Fenton, whose string are enjoying a decent spell at present, will find something similar for the Shernazar gelding.
