Old lasts out in finale
Old Si just hung on at the line to gain a deserved success in the concluding handicap chase at Limerick.
The gelding was completing a double on the card for Dessie Hughes and Bryan Cooper, who had also teamed up in the mares hurdle with Quiet Thought
Cooper soon had his mount in front and he kept on strongly down the straight. Conem and Tullintain gave chase and the former powered home to cross the line locked together with the eventual winner.
Hughes is enjoying a fantastic season and said afterwards:-
"My horses are flying - they are going really well. That win was well overdue for him as he's been consistent. He deserved the win.
"He'll go for something similar and then get a summer break."
