Locally born and based trainer Ross O’Sullivan registered his first success at the Curragh today as his Doonard Prince landed the 27 runner RACE & Irish School of Farriery Handicap under jockey Shane Foley.
The son of Footstepsinthesand was winning his fifth race today and showed a willing attitude to eventually shake off the challenge of Battleroftheboyne to score a length and a half success.
O’Sullivan, who rode as an amateur jockey with trainer Jessica Harrington before going training, later commented “he’s hardy and is a great horse to have - he’s won five now. He came here fresh, we put the blinkers on today and he loved it and he’s been consistent this year.”
