O'Hare at his best aboard Larry Luso
Mark O’Hare was seen to good effect when winning the Conyngham Cup (Q.R) Handicap Chase aboard the Daniel O’Sullivan trained Larry Luso
O’Hare produced the Luso gelding to lead at the second last and the pair kept on well on the run-in to hold off the fast finishing Classic Frontier by a head.
Winning trainer O’Sullivan said afterwards: “He ran well here the last day and going on that run we gave him a chance.”
“He appreciates that quick ground even though he is a big horse.”
“If he goes up enough we will aim him for the Summer National at Uttoxetter, he needs a big galloping track.”
“Mark [O’Hare] gave him a good ride, he rides well.”
