O'Grady wins opener
The opening race this afternoon at Downpatrick The Coca Cola Maiden Hurdle was won by the Edward O'Grady trained The Big Picture with Andrew McNamara doing the steering for owners Mrs T Hyde and Mrs Paul Shanahan.
McNamara raced his mount in mid-division, took closer order approaching 3 out and kept on under pressure to lead after last.
Edward O'Grady said afterwards, "This is one of my irregular visits to the track. He'll make a nice chaser in time and I am very pleased that he won today, he is still only a baby."
