O'Connell completes Downpatrick treble
Eddie O’Connell completed his second career treble when substituting for the injured Andrew McNamara (see earlier report) on Sebadee in the Kerry Foods EBF Beginners Chase at Downpatrick today.
O’Connell’s mount travelled well throughout, led before two out before easily recording a seven lengths win.
Winning trainer Ken Condon later reported, by phone, “I only have Sebadee about six weeks (formerly in the care of John Murphy) and we’ll aim him at a staying novice chase next.”
Twenty two year old O'Connell is originally from Monasterevin, Co Kildare but is currently Armagh based.
