Michael O'Callaghan and Kieren Fallon teamed up for an initial success together when Approcaillis (12/1) gained the day in the Hen & Stag Packages At Dundalk Handicap.

Approcaillis was a bit slowly away, he raced in rear, and after being driven over two furlongs out, he improved to chase the leaders a furlong out.

From there he stayed on strongly in the final furlong to lead on the line for a short head verdict over Victorious Secret

"I thought he'd no chance from the draw and he was a bit slowly away. He had a good education against older hardened handicappers here the last day," commented O'Callaghan.

"Kieren said he travelled well, and he always felt he was getting there. It's great to have a first winner with Kieren."
