Ozone justified 13/8 favouritism to win the opening Leading Jockey&Trainer Championship Handicap at Dundalk today, scoring for trainer Joseph O'Brien and jockey Mikey Sheehy.
The son of Camelot made most and stretched clear of his rivals in the home straight when beating runner-up Ragtime Red by seven lengths.
Jockey Sheehy later said “I let him bowl along out in front and he was loving it.
“He had his ears pricked the whole way, picked up nicely in the straight and did it well.
“He had a couple of nice runs over hurdles which sweetened him up and he came back and did that nicely.
“He's in again on Wednesday and hopefully he can improve from that now.
“I've had seven winners now and I'm just very grateful to my agent Kevin O'Ryan and to Joseph who has been very good to me.”
