"Brian Hayes gave her a brilliant ride, he just left her get into it and find her own feet. Last night didn't take much out of her," said owner/trainer/breeder Dermot O'Brien after his Glendine River followed up on a course success from yesterday in the Midge Nolan Memorial Mares Maiden Hurdle at Tramore.

Victorious at the Graun Hill venue less than twenty four hours earlier in a lady riders two mile Flat maiden, local mare Glendine River was backed from 8/1 into 5/1 for this quick reappearance.

She didn't disappoint her backers and connections, narrowly getting the upper hand on Inchiquin High on the run-in for a half a length win.

"Sheila (Ahern) gave her a lovely ride as well last night, and she saved a lot of diesel," added O'Brien.

"I don't know what we'll do with her now. She has a lot of options between hurdles and the Flat - there will be plenty of races for her. She goes on any sort of ground.

"Tramore was our plan with her as we are local. I only have her in training - I bred her and own her, so I've been looking at her all her life."

D.J. Mullins, rider of Catcheragain trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost a shoe and burst blood vessels in running.

A. McCurtin, rider of Khalessi trained by T.J. Nagle Jr., reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished distressed(confirmed by turf club vet).
