Champion Trainer Aidan O’Brien and retained jockey Seamus Heffernan combined for a maidens double at Cork today as Venezuala mae it third time lucky in the Buy Online @corkracecourse.ie Maiden.
Heffernan kept the son of Galileo close to the pace throughout, moved him to the front over a furlong out before the pair eventually scored a two lengths win over Moritzburg
Newcomer Belle Boyd was a late market-mover, having been backed from 8/1 on track in to 4/1 at the off and eventually finished well for a never-nearer third placing.
O’Brien and Heffernan were earlier successful with Sioux Nation which himself was winning on his third outing, in the opening five furlong maiden.
