O'Brien and Ryan inform at Galway
The opener of day two of The Galway Festival was won by Michael O'Briens Winterdown Star in the hands of Tom Ryan for owner William Gaffney.
Ryan's mount travelled well throughout, improved to lead after the last and kept on well.
Denis Cullen assistant to O'Brien said, ' he's pretty smart, he used to run into a flat spot in his races but a tongue tie and nice ground helped today. Tom gave him a great ride and hopefully it's onwards and upwards for him.
