Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore teamed up for a quick double on Derby day at the Curragh as Fleet Review led home a 1-2 for Ballydoyle in the Dubai Duty Free Jumeirah Creekside Dash Stakes.
The War Front colt, sent off the evens favourite, was pushed along at halfway by Moore but came home strongly inside the final furlong to just get the better of stablemate Intelligence Cross
The judge eventually separated the pair by just a nose, with Ardhoomey a length back in third.
O’Brien said, “The pace was a bit mad early on in Ascot but he got comfortable today and Donnacha’s horse was a little bit the same.
“Sometimes the pace can be mad early in Ascot and you can get hung up in it and you’re in trouble. He always was a solid horse and likes six furlongs and fast ground.
“The July Cup and all those sprints are there for him. He’s a big horse and a three-year-old so he could well progress.”
O’Brien and Moore were also on the mark just over half an hour earlier with Battle Of Jericho in the Tote Rockingham Handicap.
