The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase at Roscommon went along expected lines, going to ‘threes on’ chance Western Victory
Those that backed the daughter of Westerner from 4/7 never really had an anxious moment as Sean O’Keeffe kept it simple from the front.
Declan Queally ’s classy hurdler, with the benefit of an outing on the Flat at Galway last week, was still looking good over the closing three fences in the straight and she eventually disposed of Rapid Response by thirteen lengths.
“She was good. She had the experience of a run over fences before and she was good and straight,” reported O’Keeffe.
“She settled well in front and jumped well and picked up well up the straight.
“I was always confident.”
P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Trickey Trix trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was reluctant to jump off and race.
