No stopping Me Now
Don't Stop Me Now took the Rosslare Harbour Handicap Chase with embarrassing ease under a confident ride by Ken Whelan.
Whelan had his hands full on the heels of the leaders entering the straight, and when he finally let the 11/1 chance go on at the final fence she cruised clear to beat 5/1 favourite The Baler by a length and three quarters. Fine Call (7/1) held every chance a further three quarters of a length away in third.
Winning trainer John “Shark” Hanlon said, “She is a bit of a madam and we've tried everything with her. I'm delighted she's won for the lads (Glafy Syndicate from Derry). She's in a hurdle at Galway as there's no three mile chase for her, and she'll go there if she's fresh. She either wins on the bridle or she won't do it at all.”
