No problem for Flying Light at Galway
Flying Light has Popmurphy beaten at Galway

Those that thought Flying Light might be one to 'take-on' at odds of 1/2 in the Mervue Maiden Hurdle, never had much cause for optimism, as Andrew McNamara's mount ran out a convincing winner at Galway.
Never too far away, the victorious Chevalier gelding had only Popmurphy to worry about from before the straight but that was soon looking like a rather one-sided battle.
John Queally 's charge went on from before the last and he crossed two and a half lengths in front of that aforementioned opponent with Fairy Court two and a quarter lengths back in third.
Queally said: "That was overdue. We might look at a two mile flat race at Navan next and he'll probably come back here for a novice hurdle at the October meeting." (AM & EM)
