No catching Catch Me at Cork
Smart hurdler Catch Me made a pleasing debut over fences when justifying 9/10 favourism in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Novice Chase at Cork today, winning for trainer Edward O'Grady and jockey Andrew McNamara.
Catch Me jumped well on the whole, despite a mistake at the sixth, and displayed plenty of scope when jumping the final fence, eventually recording a two and a half lengths win over Fisher Bridge
Afterwards O'Grady reported “I'm very relieved with that display! Catch Me needed to be clever to win today and hopefully he'll come back here in two weeks time for a winners' race. The Drinmore Chase in December may feature on his programme provided all goes well.”
