The Fairyhouse Racecourse Maiden Hurdle saw Joseph O’Brien and J J Slevin double their score at the County Meath venue today as Fun Light got it done as the 11/4 second favourite.
Market-leader Julies Stowaway could manage only fourth as Fun Light upstaged Salt Wind by a length and three parts.
The well-backed Ain’t That A Shame (12/1 — 14/1 — 5/1) finished five and a half lengths back in third.
O'Brien and Slevin had started the day on the right note in the beginners chase with impressive scorer Duc D'allier
Stable representative Brendan Powell said: “He's a grand horse. He's tough, genuine and tries.
“His jumping was better today and I think the jump at the last won it. They were racing and JJ has taken a chance with him. He delivered and probably gained a length doing that.
“His form is rock solid with The Bosses Oscar and Battle Of Actium. JJ said he's not slow and he's got a lovely cruising speed.
“He's got a future, he's a big horse and his future will be jumping fences.”
