Natalisa strikes in Down Royal opener
Natalisa produced a stylish front-running performance in the opening five-furlong maiden at Down Royal for John Oxx.
Fran Berry bounced his mount out smartly and she stayed on strongly in the final furlong to record a length-and-three-quarters success over Extra Steps Catalpa Sail again finished in the money, a length back in third.
The winner had disappointed when beaten at 11/10 at Naas on her last start in July.
"She wasn't herself the last day and was beaten after a furlong. She got upset in the stalls and the horses just weren't running well at the time," explained Berry.
"She was back working well and it was just a case of fingers crossed today that she would show some form.
"She broke well, showed pace and picked up well. She's entitled to improve and could be progressive."
