David Nagle trained his first winner when Kammaan justified market support this morning in the opening Derek O'Sullivan Memorial Apprentice Handicap at the Curragh.

Keeping up the good run for Joseph O'Brien who had a double here yesterday (has ridden the winner of the last three races now run at the Curragh), the four-year-old daughter of Diktat made all along the far rail and had half a length to spare over Adam's Return at the finish.

Nagle commented afterwards: "That's my first winner and I'm based at Mocklershill in Fethard. I have four for the track and a few for the point-to-points. I was with Edward O'Grady and Thomond O'Mara in the past.

The partner of top lady point-to-point rider Evanna McCuthceon also said: "Evanna’s dad Peter and Hugh McCutheon own this filly and she'll likely go to Listowel now, probably for a race on Saturday."

Nagle said he's had about thirty runners up until now.
