Nagle eyes Cork National follow-up
Trainer Tom Nagle is eyeing back-to-back wins in the Cork National next month with his Alickadoo following the gelding's win in the Cork Handicap Hurdle at the Mallow course today.
Alickadoo successfully won last year's renewal of the Cork National in the Stewards' Room, having met with interference at the second last fence and following today's win, Nagle mentioned “Alickadoo will go for the Cork National again next month – he has now won three times at Cork and he has been a great servant.”
Alickadoo was providing his rider Stephen Gray with his fourth winner of the season, wins which have included the Galway Hurdle in July.
