Murtagh leaves it late on View
The '3 For Free' Wednesday Night in November Handicap produced a three-way photo with Russian View getting up on the line. Way West had hit the front over a furlong out but was grabbed late home by Senor Tommie and eventual winner Russian View.
It was a double on the night for Johnny Murtagh, who landed his mount in front just on the line.
"He gave it a great ride. We've been trying to get a run here for months as he likes the place," revealed trainer Eddie Lynam.
"He's the lead horse at home. It didn't work out on the turf for him but he's a very good workhorse and would work with the likes of Duff and Excelerate.
"It would be nice if this place stayed open during the winter. They could run races for small money and give owners a bit of fun."
Murtagh had earlier struck with Dynasty in the opening maiden.
