Murtagh gets the hat-trick
Amber Grey opened up his account on the third time of asking when claiming the ‘Alabama 3’ Maiden and making it a treble on the card for Murtagh.
Aidan O’Brien’s charge was soon in front and kept on well inside the final furlong to see off all challengers by two lengths.
Winning jockey Murtagh said afterwards: “He’s in good form and on the back of that he should win a handicap. He’s a tough little fella.”
Murtagh was on the mark earlier when taking the opening two races on today's card with Alexander Pope getting the better of a two-way finish in the opener. Finicius supplied Murtagh with his double when winning the Dodder Handicap for trainer Eoin Griffin.
