Murtagh doubles up with Mountain
Johnny Murtagh completed a near 8/1 double in the concluding 1m5f handicap at Navan this afternoon when successful aboard the Aidan O'Brien-trained Table Mountain
The son of Milan wandered about after striking the front two furlongs out but stayed on really well inside the final furlong to beat Wee Giant by two and a half lengths.
The Murtagh/O'Brien alliance were also on song earlier in the day when Recital (5/2) made a winning debut in the juvenile maiden.
The reigning champion is now seven behind Pat Smullen (88-81) in the Flat jockeys title race as the latter was also on the mark during the afternoon aboard the Dermot Weld-trained Midnight Music
