Murphy's good run continues
Co Tipperary trainer Joe Murphy recorded his fourth winner of the week when Ask Jack ran out a game winner of the Corrib Oil Race under Danny Mullins making it a double on the day for the jockey.
Mullins sent his mount to front from over 3f out and the pair soon stretched clear for an easy seven length win from even money favourite Estephe
“The five pound claim from Danny Mullins was a big help as we were giving away a lot of weight to the younger horses. He delivered in style today”, said a delighted Murphy.
“He was bought to go hurdling and he’s improving all of the time. I think he’ll have a very bright future over hurdles (Easyfix Hurdles) as the owner Tom Howley is involved with Easyfix.”
“The horses are running very well at the moment and that’s as a result of the change in ground. All of our horses need good ground. We’ve known all season that we have a lovely bunch of horses and we’re just reaping the rewards now.”
