Murphy on the mark at Gowran
County Cork trainer John Murphy saddled 25/1 shot Cul A Dun to land the Kilkenny Handicap. Cul A Dun was the third 25/1 shot to win during the afternoon at Gowran Park.
Sean Levey kicked the Soviet Star colt to the front over a furlong and a half from home and the pair kept on well to post a two lengths win over Giant Slalom
A delighted Murphy said afterwards: "I think he got a bit sick of hurdling and the change in ground really suited him."
"He got a bit jarred up the last day he ran over hurdles. He'll mix it with flat and hurdles as long as he gets his ground."
