Mullins and Gorey inform
Local trainer Tom Mullins saddled Cape Vintage to win The Kilkenny Handicap under Shane Gorey in the colours of Patrick O'Donovan.
Winning trainer Mullins said afterwards, "That was great, it was nice to get the win out of her. We were disappointed with her the last day but it appeared that she didn't like going left handed and so we won't be going left handed for the foreseeable future. Hopefully she will be able to handle the penalty."
Mullins also added, "She was left in The Oakes this morning but that's a long way off so we'll wait and see. I think she's a 7f filly but Mick [Kinane] said the last day that she would get 1m 2f."
