The opening Clubs and Societies Night at Tipperary Maiden Hurdle at Tipperary this evening looked an open, if ordinary, event and went to the Willie Mullins trained Compelled under Ruby Walsh.

The daughter of Anshan was held up by Walsh before making progress from the third last flight, eventually getting to the front at the final flight, for a three parts of a length success.

Mullins was absent for what was the Co Carlow trainer's 122nd winner of the season.
