- Mrs Stack off the mark as an owner
Mrs Stack off the mark as an owner
Parkers Mill #8217;s odds-on success (4/5f) in the Enjoy An Evening At Tipperary Races Maiden at Tipperary this evening was the first success as an owner for winning trainer Tommy Stack’s daughter-in-law Lucy Stack.
Parkers Mill raced prominently throughout but needed all his stamina to shake off the challenge of Cannon Hill inside the final furlong, scoring a half length win.
Stack Snr was represented by his son and assistant James ‘Fozzy’ Stack who mentioned “that’s my wife Lucy’s first winner as an owner on just her second runner!”
“Today’s trip (1m1f) was as short as Parkers Mill wants it and I thought we were in trouble a furlong and a half out. He seemed to out-stay Cannon Hill and will now step up to 10 or 12 furlongs.”
Stack Jnr married Lucy, a daughter of trainer Sneezy Foster, last December.
