Mrs Lovett (7/2) enjoyed her first foray into handicap company with a success in Fairyhouse for Gordon Elliott and Davy Russell. Presenting Mahler led and raced well clear throughout, however she was reeled in two from home by Teacher's Pet in this mares' handicap chase.
Mrs Lovett closed right up in third at that fence and was delivered by Davy Russell to lead coming to the last.
She was driven out on the run-in to account for a staying-on 15/8 favourite Timeforwest by a length and a quarter. Teacher's Pet was half a length away in third at 10/1.
Ian Amond, assistant to Gordon Elliott, said: “They went a good gallop and Davy said she enjoyed herself, jumped well and liked the ground.
“Looking at that maybe she’s improving a bit and is going the right way.”
